Whether that is time to take that well-deserved vacation, more income in your business or to finally stop feeling like an impostor in the presence of other amazing humans. What used to work, no longer works – so what’s next? I’m here to help you figure it out and make it happen.
Hi, my name is Lisette, and I like to tell myself I’m quite courageous. I made friends on the internet at age 12 (turns out they were actually amazing!), built my first business at age 19 (an online store!) and decided to take the leap as a full time entrepreneur right out of university. Crazy? Probably. I’ve learned to figure out how to do almost everything myself. Build a website? Let me Google that. My tax returns? Let me Google that. How to fix a broken laptop? Let me Google that.
But Google was never able to answer life’s big questions: what does a good work-life balance look like? How many hours should I be working as an entrepreneur every day? (spoiler: working 12 hours a day turns out to not be healthy). How do I feel confident in pitching myself? And at age 23, I turned to coaching. I was the youngest coach in my cohort to graduate the training, and was ready to take on the world. So I started working to build my coaching practice, as I worked on my own challenges.
A few years in, I realized I had fallen victim to the one thing I didn’t want to fall for: being part of the hustle culture. The “are you making 10K? How about 20K? Then you’ll finally feel like you’ve made a difference” and “You have to be on all social media channels, create a gazillion pieces of content, and that’s the only way you can be successful.” And maybe my favorite: “you have to scale your business to serve a larger audience, how about a course?”
It’s easy to fall victim to the things preached online, so after it all fell apart, I decided to finally figure out what matters to me, and how to design my life and business around that. The result? A small but mighty coaching business. Very few clients, unparalleled support, and deep collaboration. My clients know I’m in their corner, no matter what. A small mastermind with only the most amazing people, and select consulting gigs for teams and businesses with a drive to make a difference in the world. I work out regularly, sing in a choir, serve as a volunteer on a non profit committee and love to hang out with family and friends. And yes, my cat Kuma gets plenty of cuddles!
And I feel like I’m achieving so much more. Really on purpose, as to use some coach-speak. I’ve found a way to have a bigger impact, create positive change in the world, and actually enjoy myself while doing it. Through my work as a coach, I want to help more courageous humans to shorten their timeline to achieve whatever they want in life and business. Because your life is not a “one-size-fits-all” life, and it’s about time you get what you need. It’s time to make a change, make it matter and make a difference. I’m here to help.
So much so that I also have a candle making business, called Quietly Quirky… it’s what it says on the tin.
Cuddling with my cat Kuma, singing in choir, learning new things, making candles, playing boardgames or having a home cooked meal with friends.
I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. I always joked: “I want to be happy” and that hasn’t really changed since then.
I built my first website at age 12, learning how to code, write and design. It’s how I got my start as an entrepreneur, because I learned how to start without anyone else giving me permission. Several websites and years later, I started my first official business at age 19, where I built my own online store, selling dresses I bought in Japan. I’ve worked in/with tech ever since. As a marketing manager, consultant, strategist and as a coach. In 2014 I officially started my coaching business, and have been serving over 200 clients worldwide ever since.
In terms of formal education, I have an MA in Communication and Information Sciences, coach training from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), Facilitator training from The Connection Institute and keep up my education in various fields, like leadership, mindset, NLP and ontological coaching.
If you’re ready to finally get what you want, in a way that just works for you, let’s work together! There are a few ways we can collaborate – private coaching, a small mastermind or facilitation/consultancy. How can I help?
